Crew optics for tanks and infantry fighting vehicles are grouped here. Passive image-intensified periscopes of Eastern standard serve the commander, gunner and driver stations: TKN-1MS and TKN-3B for the commander, TPN-1MS for the T-55 gunner, TVNE-4VMS for the T-72 driver, M66 A2 MS for the BVP M80 driver and TVN-2MS as a direct replacement for TVN-2. Alongside them are camera-based systems: SDNP-19 places thermal and day camera units around the hull for 360 degree coverage, VVS-2020 feeds frontal low-light, rear and thermal cameras to a gyroscope-tracked twin ocular display, and SDP-19 is a six-camera panoramic network system giving the crew a virtual window.

Passive optoelectronic driver periscope for the BVP M80 IFV, dimensionally interchangeable with M66 A2 and mounted without additional machining.

Driver view enhancer of multiple thermal and daytime camera units positioned around the vehicle for 360 degree day and night coverage.

Six-camera panoramic network system giving armoured vehicle crews a virtual window on the surrounding area over Ethernet.

Passive optoelectronic commander periscope for night and low visibility observation, dimensionally interchangeable with TKN-1.

Day and night commander periscope with partially common optical channel and Gen III tube, used on T-72 tanks, derived vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles.

Passive optoelectronic gunner periscope for the T-55 tank for night observation and firing, reduced in size and weight relative to TPN-1.

Passive optoelectronic driver periscope for night and low visibility driving, dimensionally interchangeable with TVN-2.

Passive dual eyepiece driver periscope for the T-72 tank, dimensionally interchangeable with TVNE-4V and mounted without additional machining.

Optoelectronic driver vision system with frontal dual low-light cameras, rear camera and thermal camera feeding a gyroscope-tracked twin ocular display.
Four of the passive periscopes are dimensionally interchangeable with the unit they replace: TKN-1MS with TKN-1, TVN-2MS with TVN-2, TVNE-4VMS with TVNE-4V and M66 A2 MS with M66 A2. TPN-1MS is listed as reduced in size and weight relative to TPN-1 on the T-55 tank, while TKN-3B is a day and night commander periscope for T-72 tanks, derived vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles. A tender should therefore state the vehicle type and the periscope designation currently fitted, together with whether the set is to include the image intensifier tubes, spare parts and accessories listed for each model.
Periscopes are optical instruments tested to 0.2 kPa overpressure, with magnification, field of view and detection distance fixed by the optics: TPN-1MS lists 1000 m detection at x8.5, the TVN-2MS and M66 A2 MS driver units 120 m and 140 m at wide fields of view. Camera systems SDNP-19 and SDP-19 use uncooled thermal or low-light CMOS sensors, run on 10-36 V and pass H.264 or H.265 video over RJ-45 Ethernet, while VVS-2020 runs on 10-32 V and feeds its cameras to a twin OLED ocular display.
TKN-1MS is listed with HD 2100 or HD 1520, TKN-3B and TVNE-4VMS with the HD 1520 Gen III tube, TPN-1MS with the HD 2100 Gen II+ tube and the M66 A2 MS and TVN-2MS driver periscopes with HD 1400 M. Each set is supplied with one or two tubes plus spare parts and accessories as noted in the specifications.
SDNP-19 and SDP-19 connect over RJ-45 Ethernet and are powered from 10-36 V, SDNP-19 with a junction box, and VVS-2020 runs on 10-32 V with a twin ocular display. Camera positions depend on the hull layout, so the vehicle type should be stated in the enquiry.
