This group holds the screening grenades of the domain: a 45 mm grenade of 250 g offered in white, red, green, orange, yellow and blue smoke, a 53 mm grenade of 450 g, the 81 mm GD2 of 2340 g and the 82 mm smoke pot M79 of 1500 g. Every record gives calibre, mass, length and a delay time. The GD2 and the M79 additionally quote smoke duration, screen height and diameter and a range figure; the two smaller items are listed by calibre alone, without a model designation.

45 mm hand grenade producing white or coloured smoke after a delay of 2.5 to 5 seconds.

53 mm hand grenade weighing 450 g that produces smoke after a delay of 3.5 to 5.5 seconds.

81 mm smoke grenade GD2 that after a delay of about 9.5 seconds emits smoke for 100 seconds, building a screen 3 to 10 m high and 10 to 30 m across at ranges up to 250 m.

An 82 mm smoke pot grenade for creating smoke curtains, fired from 82 mm smoke box launchers or activated manually with a mechanical fuze.
A screening line item is written as calibre, mass, length, delay time and the behaviour of the smoke. Here the delay runs from 2.5 to 5 s on the 45 mm grenade, 2.6 plus or minus 0.4 s on the M79, 3.5 to 5.5 s on the 53 mm grenade and 9.5 plus or minus 2.5 s on the GD2. Operating temperature is stated for all four, from -35 to +63 degrees C on the 53 mm item.
Two of the four carry a model designation, GD2 at 81 mm and M79 at 82 mm; the 45 mm and 53 mm grenades are listed by calibre alone. Mass separates them most clearly, from 250 g to 2340 g. Smoke duration is quoted only for the larger pair, 100 s for the GD2 and 150 to 300 s for the M79, alongside screens 3 to 10 m high.
The GD2 quotes a range of 250 m and the M79 quotes a minimum of 100 m; the M79 record also notes that it is fired from 82 mm smoke box launchers or activated by hand with a mechanical fuze. The 45 mm and 53 mm records give no range figure.
Only the 45 mm grenade lists a colour range: white, red, green, orange, yellow and blue. The 53 mm, GD2 and M79 records state a delay and, for the larger two, the smoke duration and screen dimensions, without naming a colour.
