Nine line items cover the smoke and illuminating natures held in the catalogue, in 76, 105, 122 and 155 mm. The smoke designations are M60 at 76, 105 and 122 mm, M09 at 155 mm and M110A2 at 155 mm; the illuminating designations are M314 A4 (M03), S-463, M96 and M485A2. Every smoke record names a white phosphorus filling, and every illuminating record states a light intensity in candela. Fuze, propelling charge and range figures vary by model and, at 155 mm, by charge zone.

Semi-fixed 105 mm parachute illuminating round with electronic time fuze, min 600000 cd for min 30 s.

Semi-fixed 105 mm white phosphorus smoke round for screening and marking, for 105 mm howitzers M56, M2A1 and M2A2.

Separate-loaded 122 mm S-463 illuminating round for D-30, D-30J and 2S1 howitzers, with minimum 700000 cd intensity.

Separate-loaded 122 mm white phosphorus smoke round for D-30, D-30J and 2S1, maximum range 12800 m.

Extended-range full-bore 155 mm white phosphorus smoke projectile, range 20600 to 32200 m over charge zones 8 to 10.

155 mm parachute illuminating projectile with time fuze, luminosity 1000000 cd.

A separately loaded 155 mm round pairing the illuminating projectile M485A2, assembled with an illuminating torch, with propellant charge M3A1 to light the battlefield; its electronic time fuze UTE M10 is timed with a UTIF setter before firing from the 155 mm howitzers M109/M126A1, M109A1/M185 and M198/M199.

A separately loaded 155 mm round combining the white phosphorus projectile M110A2 with propellant charge M3A1 to create a smoke screen on the battlefield, fired from the 155 mm howitzers M109/M126A1, M109A1/M185 and M198/M199.

Separate-loaded 76 mm white-phosphorus smoke M60 round for the M48B1 gun, ballistically matched to the HE M70 round.
A tender annex records the calibre and the projectile designation, then the payload: a white phosphorus mass for the smoke items and an illuminating composition mass with a candela figure and a burning time for the illuminating items. Projectile mass, muzzle velocity, maximum range, the propelling charge or charge zone and the fuze designation follow, with the weapon and the operating temperature band where the source gives them.
M60 recurs across three calibres, so the propelling charge and the weapon named alongside it are what separate those records. At 155 mm the smoke items split between M09, quoted over charge zones 8, 9 and 10, and M110A2, quoted with the M3A1 charge. Among the illuminating items, M314 A4 (M03) and M485A2 are given with electronic time fuzes, M96 with a time fuze, and S-463 with steel or brass cartridge cases.
In candela, with a burning time where the source gives one. The records quote a minimum 600000 cd for M314 A4 with a minimum 30 s, a minimum 700000 cd for S-463, and 1000000 cd for M96 and for M485A2, whose torch is quoted at 120 s or more.
Smoke items are listed with impact fuzes: UTIU designations at 105, 122 and 155 mm, UTI, M68 P1 at 76 mm, and the 105 mm entry adds the electronic time fuze UTE M03. Among the illuminating items M314 A4 carries UTE M03, M485A2 the UTE M10 set with a UTIF setter, and M96 an M762 or M577A1. The S-463 record names no fuze.
