This group holds the catalogue's selective-fire service rifles. The AK M21 family covers 5.56x45 mm with 460 mm and 375 mm barrels; the AK E and AK M70 lines cover 7.62x39 mm with folding or fixed stocks; the M05 N group covers 7.62x51 mm with 500 mm or 406 mm barrels. The MCS M19 adds tool-free barrel changes between 7.62x39 mm and 6.5x39 mm, and the MORANA programme modernises existing 7.62x39 mm rifles rather than replacing them.

A rifle tender normally fixes the cartridge first, since it determines the ammunition already in stock and the allied standard to be met: 5.56x45 mm and 7.62x51 mm for NATO-aligned forces, 7.62x39 mm where existing inventories are Eastern. The specification then lists barrel length, stock type, mounting interfaces such as Picatinny rails, night-aiming sights and whether an underbarrel grenade launcher must be fitted. Weight with a loaded magazine and length with the stock folded are usually stated as maxima.
Within each family the letters carry the configuration. In the AK M21 group, S marks the 375 mm barrel, and the ABS and SBS variants are prepared for telescopic stock, foregrip and underbarrel launcher. In the M05 N group, N1 has a right-side fire selector and N2 an ambidextrous one, while S indicates the 406 mm barrel and F a fixed stock. The AK E series steps from E1 to E3 by adding first a receiver side rail and then a full-length rail on the receiver cover.
Most models in this group list the BGP 40 mm underbarrel grenade launcher as an option, and the AK M21 ABS, AK M21 SBS and AK E3 additionally accept the BGP 40x46 mm version. The MCS M19, the MORANA package and the 7.62x51 mm N-series rifles list no launcher option.
MORANA is a modernisation and overhaul package for 7.62x39 mm automatic rifles already in service. The rifle keeps its calibre, operating system and serial number while receiving a polymer stock and magazine, Picatinny and M-LOK mounting interfaces and new surface protection, with either a full barrel change or a partial overhaul that retains the original barrel.
